Pet Friendly Retreat Places in Texas:
1) Caddo Lake see Spatterdoc.com local fish/tour guide and wife ex school teacher who have lived on the lake all their lives have houses and cottage to rent on the lake. Very friendly and give great boat tours. It is the largest natural lake in Texas on the border with LA in northeast corner of state
2) Restoration Homestead working farm B&B near Corsicana Tx see restorationtx.com. Is new B&B since Jan 2014 new places in USA where you can stay on a working farm... open to Pets & children...have not visited yet but looks great. I have talked to owner Bill & emailed him.
3) Rainbow Ranch Campground see rainbowranch.net in rolling hills country in rural setting on Lake Limestone near Corsicana. Visited july/2014 was so impressed looking at buying a trailer there and have a Wellness Weekend that they will host March 2015. Very pet friendly & has a fenced in dog park . Right on Lake & has new salt water pool.
4) Galveston Tx I have been renting pet friendly Beach House for almost 10 years from Sand and Sea Reality company see their website sandnsea.com...they are very helpful and houses are right on the beach.

1) Lake Murray near TX border...all cabins pet friendly has water sports, golfing, hiking, outside pool, play ground, horseback riding, fishing, boat rentals & lodge with restaurant.
2) Beaver Bend corner of TX, OK, AR only has 6 pet friendly cabins...great hiking, trout fishing, pine trees, nature center, cafe/grocery store, art display...in winter bald eagles nest here & fish the stream...breathing sight to see in person!
